To LGBT sports groups ...
To LGBT sports groups: I am a Wellington based fitness educator and writer. With the upcoming OUTGAMES early next year I am doing some articles and profiles of some of our community that are involved in the outgames in some way, whether it be competing or in other ways. It would be awesome if you were able to get the word out! Email julz@julzdarroch.co.nz if they are keen right now or if you want more information. I am in Christchurch mid November and in Auckland at the end of November for interviews, or can use phone and email. Thanks Julz Darroch. 03/2011: Outgames
ASIAPACIFIC OUTGAMES, WELLINGTON, MARCH 2011. There are just three weeks left to make savings with earlybird fees for the 2nd AsiaPacific Outgames. Participation fees for all the sports go up after 31 October. The dollar savings for some sports are significant: earlybirds in golf or mountain biking can save NZ$30; in badminton, dancesport, swimming and ten pin bowling, $35; while tennis players can save $50. Hundreds of people from 7 countries have signed up so far, with numbers in some sports running well ahead of forecast. Athletes are travelling from as far away as Switzerland to attend. Registrations from Christchurch have been slow and well down on North Island registrations - so come on Canterbury! Sign up for some fun now! And the fierce competition between Kiwi and Aussie participants continues – with the Aussies having just 5 more people signed up than the Kiwis at the start of October. The Outgames conference has a later earlybird cutoff date of 30 November, because the full conference programme has not yet been announced. Register for the Outgames at www.wellingtonoutgames.com.
FREE EMOTIONAL SUPPORT
FREE EMOTIONAL SUPPORT during October. The earthquakes have shaken us up and some of us are experiencing strong feelings we are not familiar with; we may not quite feel like our usual selves and may be feeling more irritable or sensitive than usual. If this sounds like you and you'd like some support, then I can help. Intuitive Therapy is a feeling centred form of support which will help you understand your feelings and show you what you need to do for yourself to come back to a place of balance. I work from home in Burnside and can see clients outside of usual work hours. All sessions are free of cost for October. For more information about me and Intuitive Therapy go to http://www.nzait.org.nz/kwason.htm or phone Karen on 357 8481 (evenings).
